こちらは鹿嶋臨海工業地帯にある製鉄所の高炉。高炉は鉄鉱石を熱して鉄を抽出する設備。設備自体が非常に複雑かつ巨大であるため、煙突、蒸留塔、タンクと並び主役の存在感をみせてくれる。
